The White Encaustic Medium consists of damar resin and naturally bleached beeswax that is then mixed with a natural mineral and white dry pigment to create a thick, dense medium.
The white panel allows for colors to reflect their true value if used as the final primer.
The white medium is versatile as it can be used as an undercoat during the encaustic priming process and also as a painting medium that can be used to tint color pigments.
The Encaustic Medium is also valuable for many mixed media techniques.
The Encaustic Medium should be melted at 100 degrees celsius and kept melted during the painting process.
